Dive #90

Location: Pråmen, Ven, Sweden
Time down: 14:21 | Time up: 15:07 | Divetime: 46 min | Max depth: 25.5 meter | Average depth: 17.7 meter
Water temp: 8° | O² used: 105 litre | Dil used: 150 litre | Total RB divetime: 24h 02min

After almost 2 hours on the surface, we did our second dive. An old barge that rests at on the ocean floor, some 27 meters beneath the surface. Pretty good visibility and it was my first dive at this divesite. An easy swim through, from the outside is possible to do. A lot of anemones to look at.

Dive #89

Location: S/S Robert, Ven, Sweden
Time down: 11:49 | Time up: 12:23 | Divetime: 34 min | Max depth: 36.2 meter | Average depth: 21 meter
Water temp: 7° | O² used: 70 litre | Dil used: 150 litre | Total RB divetime: 23h 16min

Went out with the diveclub and did two wreckdives today. the first one is to be regarded as an advanced dive, due to poor visibility, high current and a depth around 40 meters. But as it turned out, the only thing difficulties we had, was the poor visibility, as little as 1 meter. But at least we made it down there and we had made a plan based on assumptions of my rebreather and going to 40 meters. We ended up at 36 meters and we could have done 10-15 minutes more, but… Plan the dive, dive the plan. Surfaced again after a mere 34 minutes.

Dive #88

Location: Valparna, Kullen, Sweden
Time down: 18:36 | Time up: 19:42 | Divetime: 66 min | Max depth: 20 meter | Average depth: 11.3 meter
Water temp: 8° | O² used: 120 litre | Dil used: 120 litre | Total RB divetime: 22h 42min

Did a boat dive with Kullen dyk, new dive site. Must say that it was one of the better ones at the peninsula of Kullaberg. Great to navigate between big rocks that went all the way from 12 meters to the surface. Dived close to the wall that starts some 20 meters above the surface. What was not so great, was that I lost my brand new GoPro 2. So, had to call my insurance company to get a new one. This was actually my first dive in a wetsuit since my first certification in 2010. It was actually really pleasant, we had 15 degrees above the thermocline, but a chilling 8 degrees at 20 meters. So didnt stay at depth all that long. But I felt really smooth and like a seal in the water. Even managed to do reverse frogkick.

Dive #87

Location: Åkersberget, Kullen, Sweden
Time down: 13:38 | Time up: 14:46 | Divetime: 68 min | Max depth: 25.4 meter | Average depth: 12.6 meter
Water temp: 7° | O² used: 120 litre | Dil used: 120 litre | Total RB divetime: 21h 36min

Second dive, after a great surface interval. Sunny and the small bay is well protected against the wind. We did a little different second dive and dived on the opposit wall of the bay. Never done that before and it turned out to be really good. Wasn’t sure if we was in the right bay, so a quick peak and then ended the dive at the shore.

Dive #86

Location: Åkersberget, Kullen, Sweden
Time down: 11:28 | Time up: 12:20 | Divetime: 52 min | Max depth: 23 meter | Average depth: 13.4 meter
Water temp: 8° | O² used: 90 litre | Dil used: 135 litre | Total RB divetime: 20h 28min

First dive of two this day, at an exciting dive location. We loaded up the gear in my boat and went out to the dive site. Had pretty good visbility down to about 13 meters, after that it got worse, and colder as we descended through the thermocline. Passing 20 hrs on my rebreather, and it feels good. Not much was seen this dive, but had a good dive anyway.

Dive #85

Location: Stora manskär, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 13:52 | Time up: 14:57 | Divetime: 65 min | Max depth: 32.5 meter | Average depth: 19.8 meter
Water temp: 11° | O² used: 90 litre | Dil used: 96 litre | Total RB divetime: 19h 36min

After yet another surface interval with some nice food out in the open, the sun bursted out of the clouds and it turned into a nice summer day. I was hoping that this weekend trip would break the 20 hour divetime on my rebreather, but since the night dive was cancelled due to weather conditions, it will simply have to wait. This was probably the least good dive this weekend. Bad visibility, strong current and not much to see. Still, me and my buddy made it all the way down to 32 meters, and my diluent/O2 consumption was really low. So, to sum up this weekend, 4 hours and 10 minutes of diving.

Dive #84

Location: Lilla knappen, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 10:26 | Time up: 11:31 | Divetime: 65 min | Max depth: 37.3 meter | Average depth: 21.5 meter
Water temp: 11° | O² used: 108 litre | Dil used: 178 litre | Total RB divetime: 18h 31min

After a good night sleep, we went out again with Dyk-Leifs specially designed boat, Triton (suitable name). The weather was not all that good. Pretty calm, but raining and the sun was nowhere to be found. As it turns out, this happen to be this weekend coolest dive. We went straight down, following the wall, ended up at 30 meters. Then a gentle slope, ended up at 37 meters, without even noticing it until I watched my computer. It certainly didnt feel like 37 meters. So, a new depth record for me with my rebreather.Total bottom time was 4 minutes, and then slowly ascended along the wall.
