Dive #83

Location: Valöskären, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 14:36 | Time up: 15:31 | Divetime: 55 min | Max depth: 23 meter | Average depth: 13 meter
Water temp: 11° | O² used: 105 litre | Dil used: 165 litre | Total RB divetime: 17h 26min

After a lunch break with the Thai food that Dyk-Leif is so famous for, we went out again, a bit more rough sea, missed my two buddies, and ended up doing a dive with an old OC buddy. Since this was his second dive, he had not all that much air left in his twin 12L. Even though, we went down to 23 meters for 20 minutes, and then slowly ascended to about 6 meters and did a looong safety stop in the kelp.

Dive #82

Location: Torsöklacken, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 10:41 | Time up: 11:46 | Divetime: 65 min | Max depth: 31.4 meter | Average depth: 18.1 meter
Water temp: 11° | O² used: 120 litre | Dil used: 150 litre | Total RB divetime: 16h 31min

Back at Väderöarna in the peninsula of Bohuslän. Great waters to dive in, deep, shallow, wall dive or just diving around in the kelp. As always, local dive centre Dyk-Leif  took care of us and we had two great days here, with no less than 5 MkVI Rebreather divers. First dive for the day was actually the deepest I have made with my MkVI. Excellent WOB at 30 meters, and had set the setpoint to 1.3 instead of the normal 1.2. Bottom time was 11 min, with some 7 min more to go before entering Deco. Ascended to 25 meters, stayed there for another 8 minutes, then ascended to 17 meters and stayed there for about 18 minutes. Spent 14 minutes to ascend from 17 to 6 meters. Ended the dive with a 3 minute safety stop between five and six meters.

Dive #81

Location: Josefinelust, Kullen, Sweden
Time down: 11:07 | Time up: 12:21 | Divetime: 74 min | Max depth: 19.8 meter | Average depth: 14.5 meter
Water temp: 7° | O² used: 120 litre | Dil used: 150 litre | Total RB divetime: 15h 26min

Was supposed to be a wreck dive today, but weather was to severe to go out on open sea. So, a nature dive at Josefinelust. Never dived here before, and since both me and my buddy (diving a Kiss Rebreather) wanted to go deep, we went straight out from the Peninsula of Kullen. Ended up at 19 meters, cold and poor visibility. So we turned back and was caught in a strong current, went up above the thermal layer and swam back to the start point. Had a good training run on the simulated deco stop for 7 minutes at 6 meters. A bit too much fluctuation in depth, as I was watching my buddy, rather than my depth gauge. So I made the stop between 5-7 meters, which of course is 1 meter too much in variation.   Surfaced about 50 meters from the boat, so we decided to go back down again after taking the course home.

Dive #80

Location: Bojenskär, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 14:20 | Time up: 15:07 | Divetime: 47 min | Max depth: 20.7 meter | Average depth: 13.1 meter
Water temp: 8° | O² used: 105 litre | Dil used: 180 litre | Total RB divetime: 14h 12min

After 2 hours on the surface with some nice food and company, we sat course for a dive at Bojenskär. Not as deep as previous dive, but I had some issue with my buoyancy this dive.  Used up a lot of diluent, diving like a noob. Seven descents over two meters during the dive. Also experienced air in my feet for the first time since I changed my boots. Real easy to solve, but should not be an issue. Just too much air in the suit. But all in all a good dive with a Big lobster strolling by at around 15 meters. Passing 14 hrs on the Rebreather. Wanted to do longer dives, but diving with OC buddies, you just need to accept the shorter dives.

Dive #79

Location: Valeskär, Väderöarna, Sweden
Time down: 10:58 | Time up: 11:43 | Divetime: 45 min | Max depth: 26.4 meter | Average depth: 14.5 meter
Water temp: 8° | O² used: 90 litre | Dil used: 120 litre | Total RB divetime: 13h 25min

First dive of the day at beautiful archipelago of Bohuslän. Windy conditions rocked the boat, but when we arrived and found shelter at Valeskär, we went diving. Wall dive with ledges down to 26 meters. Went through a ravine, but strong current made my OC buddy use up a lot of his air supply. So we went up to 20 meters for a while, and then continued to shallower waters as his air supply was getting low. Ended the dive after 45 minutes.
