Beautiful morning at Kullaberg, weather forecast said it was supposed to be windy with high waves. But the reality was something completely different. Last dive of the PADI Rebreather Diver Certification Course. We geared up, and went down to the water. Our instructor went down to check the conditions. When he resurfaced he said, swim close together, real close. We went down beneath the surface, and immediately I understood what he meant. the rough sea we have had the last couple of days had really messed up the visibility. We had 20-30 cm… Yepp, thats right.. 20-30 centimetres. After 16 minutes my borrowed electronic module didn’t want to dive no more. Complete failure, so Bailed out and headed for the surface. But the Dive wasn’t a complete mess after all. My instructor shook my hand and said Congratulations, you are now Sweden’s first PADI Certified Rebreather Diver for the Poseidon Discovery MkVI. So, even though my Rebreather had failed on me, I couldn’t be upset, since I completed the course.

Time down: 13:06 | Time up: 13:18 | Divetime: 12 min | Max depth: 5.5 meter | Average depth: 3 meter
Water temp: 4° | O² used: 30 litre | Dil used: 50 litre | Total RB divetime: 1h 51min

This should have been one of the two longer dives on the Advanced Rebreather Diver Course. But since my own electronic module is at Poseidon for a check-up, I had a borrowed one from Poseidon. Got a general alert 10 minutes into the dive. So, I am rather unlucky when it comes to completing this course. Been at it now for more than a month and it has been failing equipment, human errors, bad weather and so on…

Dive #64

Location: Örkelljunga Quarry, Sweden
Time down: 11:11 | Time up: 11:27 | Divetime: 16 min | Max depth: 6.5 meter | Average depth: 4.6 meter
Water temp: 1° | Air used: 532 litre | SAC: 23 litre/min | Total divetime: 37h 10min

After a few minutes on the surface, I went down to the other team that was still beneath the surface. Joint them and practice buoyancy while they practice on line deployment for cave diving.  Spent well over an our in 1 degree water.. pretty cold I would say ;)

Dive #63

Location: Örkelljunga Quarry, Sweden
Time down: 10:45 | Time up: 11:05 | Divetime: 20 min | Max depth: 9.2 meter | Average depth: 6.9 meter
Water temp: 1° | Air used: 770 litre | SAC: 23 litre/min | Total divetime: 36h 54min

First time diving here, water was cold, but should be real clear when its this cold. After the first dive I could quickly say that it is not true at all. We had like 50cm visibility. So, it was cold, not much to see and surfaced after only 20 min.
